April 22, 2024What is Earth Day
Earth Day has been celebrated every year on April 22 since 1970. Since its creation, Earth Day became and continues to be the largest secular day of protest in the world. People come together to take action and make their voices heard about environmental and climate crises facing our planet. Whether through social media campaigns, protests, teach-ins, or other methods, individuals across the globe come together for one purpose: to promote action now.
Throughout the history of Earth Day, the specific focus of action has changed from air pollution to endanger species to climate change. Regardless of this, the main message has always been the same: we have a responsibility to take care of our home and we can demonstrate and take action to make it happen.
What Does Earth Day Mean for ENSO
At ENSO, we work year round to promote best sustainability practices and to help businesses have a positive impact, while gaining a competitive edge. Earth Day is an opportunity for us to celebrate the progress that our customers have made this year and to plan for the year ahead. We want to continue to promote sustainability in business, work with our customers to achieve their targets, and learn even more each and every day. We would like to thank all of our customers for their work this year and for everything they have shared with us!
Ways to Celebrate
We would like to share some fun ways to celebrate Earth Day this year! There are many ways to engage with sustainability today. Try some of the following:
? Post about a sustainability commitment you have made or achieved
? Spend some time in nature in your favourite outdoor place
? Reach out to local environmental organisations to see how you can get involved
? Take time to sign petitions or reach out to your representatives about climate and environment related issues
? Learn something new about sustainability and research something you’ve wanted to know more about
? Reflect on your sustainability performance this past year and update your strategy for the future
